William Penn Foundation uses MicroEdge Internet Tools
to connect Board Members through the Web
Board meeting preparation and matching gifts administration simplified with MyGIFTS and IGAM
New York, NY, April 29, 2004 - MicroEdge, Inc., the world's leading provider of solutions and services for charitable giving, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Advent Software, (NASDAQ:ADVS), today announced that the William Penn Foundation is utilizing MicroEdge Web solutions to link their board members to essential Foundation information and programs.
As part of an online initiative and commitment to connect with their community, the William Penn Foundation has implemented MyGIFTS Web-based grants management system, along with IGAM Internet Grant Application Module to improve communications and administration for their board members. Using MyGIFTS, every member has their own custom Web homepage-a "digital dashboard" that displays a wealth of information, including proposals and meeting agendas. Additionally, board members can administer small gifts and matching gifts programs directly from this homepage; an easy click, complete and send method lets them manage submissions at any time of the day or night, from wherever they are.
"The whole idea of this undertaking is to promote self-sufficiency and the convenience to access information when you need it" says Barbara Scace, director of information systems for the William Penn Foundation. "By providing easy access to a wealth of information and constantly promoting the idea that it's available from their desktops, we will hopefully improve the flow of information and communications."
