New Web-based solution enables more efficient grant review process
New York, NY, November 17, 2003 - MicroEdge, Inc, the world's leading provider of solutions and services for the grantmaking community, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Advent Software, (NASDAQ:ADVS), today announced the release of ReviewerCONNECT, a Web-based tool that streamlines the grant review process for foundations, research funders, and other grantmakers.
ReviewerCONNECT is an end-to-end workflow automation system for creating new levels of efficiency and effectiveness around the grant review process. ReviewerCONNECT incorporates personalized Web accounts for both internal and external reviewers, and combines a simple tool around your specific processes and goals for reviewing grants. Reviewers simply log in to ReviewerCONNECT through any Web browser and review the grants you've assigned to them. The final review responses are automatically recorded to the GIFTS database, making the evaluation process fully electronic and seamless.
Logging in from anywhere, reviewers can evaluate proposals and supporting documents online and submit their detailed reviews over the Web. Because grant evaluations submitted online are instantly available in a centralized grants database, grantmakers save time gathering and tracking feedback, and processing review paperwork. The system automatically calculates total scores for proposals, so giving organizations can identify top proposals at a glance. With instant access to all grants and review data, as well as the status of assigned reviews, grantmakers are able to save time and improve analysis and decision-making.
Organizations with an internal staff review process, where proposals may be evaluated by multiple committees, recognize the benefits in bringing their review process online and automating their workflow. Similarly, foundations and other funders who have outside experts participate in grant evaluations find their review process is greatly facilitated by use of the Internet. Another advantage: the possibility of shortening the review cycle when all communications happen instantly via the Internet and feedback is immediately available for analysis.
