New York - August 31, 2005 - MicroEdge, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advent Software (NASDAQ: ADVS) and leading provider of solutions for the grantmaking community worldwide announced today a new direction in its delivery of online portal technology for grants management, constituent relationship management and compliance solutions for grantmakers. The new portal technology product line, MicroEdge PORTICO, is based on an open, service-oriented architecture providing enhanced performance, scalability and security for MicroEdge customers.

The first of the new portal offerings is MicroEdge PORTICO GRM, a new grantee relationship management solution that gives grantmakers and those they fund the ability to freely exchange information throughout the entire grant lifecycle. MicroEdge PORTICO GRM will connect seamlessly with all MicroEdge platforms: GIFTS®, FIMS and FoundationPower. MicroEdge PORTICO GRM will offer a full range of capabilities to manage ongoing interaction with grantees, including online grant applications and ongoing reports, due diligence and compliance screening, data collection, and post-grant evaluation and measurement.

MicroEdge PORTICO GRM will debut at the 2005 MicroEdge Solutions Conference in Orlando, FL, October 26th - 28th.
