New York, NY, May 1, 2004 - MicroEdge, Inc., the world's leading provider of solutions and services for charitable giving, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Advent Software, (NASDAQ:ADVS), today announced that the Monterey Peninsula Foundation, which oversees the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am Youth Fund, has deployed MicroEdge's Essential GIFTS system, to simplify and consolidate its grants management processes.
The Foundation is using Essential GIFTS to merge and track different types of giving activity under a single system. "Previously, in-kind contributions had been tracked separately, preventing the Foundation from seeing the whole picture of giving for the organization," says Laurel Lee-Alexander, Director of Grant Programs for the Monterey Peninsula Foundation. "Now I can see the total picture of our giving, which has greatly improved our funding decision-making processes."
