MicroEdge Releases Latest Version of Internet Grant Application Management Solution - IGAM
IGAM 3 Provides Greater Flexibility, Customization and Automation to Enhance Online Grant Application Experience
New York - October 30, 2007 - MicroEdge, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Advent Software (NASDAQ: ADVS) and leading provider of solutions for the grantmaking community worldwide, today announced the release of IGAM 3, the newest version of its popular online grant application solution for the philanthropic market. IGAM 3 enables grantmakers to accept online submissions of grant requests and facilitates related communication between grantseekers and grantors.
"The grantmaking community is no longer questioning if they want to implement online applications, but are focused on how – IGAM has provided an excellent answer to that question," said MicroEdge Vice President Kevin Carlsten. "With 8.3 million visits to IGAM websites already in 2007 – almost 34,000 per day –IGAM is a proven solution for more efficient and effective grant application process. This latest release provides our clients with enhanced flexibility and customization features, allowing them to continue to automate key steps in the online grant application process and improve a grant applicant’s online experience."
Among key additions is enhanced multi-language capability, which allows grantmakers additional flexibility in presenting grant applications in languages other than English. This feature supports the many global MicroEdge clients and their funding efforts around the world. Other enhancements include utilities for customizing program fields, security improvements, and more powerful searching and data-linking with MicroEdge GIFTS® software.
Vivian Walker, a Grants Administrator from The Home Depot Foundation, receives hundreds of requests for funding each quarter across the four program areas that Home Depot supports. Many of those requests are now on target since the implementation of IGAM and its screening capabilities. Ms. Walker states, "IGAM has had a tremendous impact on our giving. It has not only allowed us to get the eligible and competitive proposals we really want to see, but it also allows us to devote more time to giving in-depth proposal reviews than we could before."
MicroEdge’s Carlsten adds, "IGAM 3 is a powerful solution for accepting grant requests over the Internet and seamlessly adding these requests to a foundation’s grants database. By reducing the need for manual data entry, IGAM 3 helps foundations save time and administrative resources while reducing or eliminating the risk of errors. Finally, IGAM 3 also cuts the costs of processing grant requests because no applications need to be mailed out, eliminating the expense of postage, paper, and printing."
