MicroEdge Offers Industry-Level Educational Series for Online Grantmaking
New York — June 3, 2005 - New York – June 3, 2005 - MicroEdge|NPO Solutions, a division of MicroEdge, Inc. announces that it has begun offering the ‘eLab Series for Improving Donor Services Online,’ a series of free, one-hour WebEx seminars for foundations, offering insight and information into the online grantmaking process. The series includes industry-level instruction on the following topics:
- Online Strategies for Corporate Grantmaking,
- Effective International Strategic Giving, and
- Online Strategies for Improving Donor Services and Communication
Through this series, MicroEdge will help foundations more fully understand the online grantmaking process by addressing such issues as website design and maintenance for online fund activity, monitoring and measuring contributions, and improving communication between donors and the foundation. The eLab series, open to the public, intends to answer the most pressing questions MicroEdge has received from foundations on the topic of online grantmaking, and is part of a larger, ongoing eLab educational service that MicroEdge offers its clients.
In a recent interview, Jon Sestak, Donor Central Project Manager at MicroEdge|NPO Solutions discussed why donors are increasingly looking to manage their funds online, “We live in busy times. Business isn’t conducted from nine to five anymore, and online donor services allow advisors to take care of things on ‘donor time,’” Mr. Sestak explained.
MicroEdge has begun offering this eLab series in conjunction with an increase in client acquisitions of its two online donor services products, Donor Central and Suggestion Central. Recent client wins include The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia, Truman Heartland Community Foundation, and the Community Foundation of Greater Memphis.
MicroEdge will also continue educating clients and the giving community at large through appearances at public events, and it will release a new white paper discussing online grants management in Summer 2005.
