MicroEdge Releases New Features for DonorCentral®
Web-based Portal Now Connects Donors with Specified Areas of Interest
New York - January 16, 2007 – MicroEdge, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Advent Software (NASDAQ: ADVS) and a leading provider of solutions for the grantmaking community worldwide, has released a powerful new suite of features for its popular DonorCentral® Web portal. DonorCentral® is the industry's first major Web-based product that allows donors and advisors to monitor the status of their philanthropic assets and to make grant recommendations from anywhere, at any time, utilizing the Internet. The latest version of DonorCentral® allows foundations using MicroEdge's FIMS and FoundationPower to connect donors to causes in which they have particular interest by using an intuitive interface.
The new version of DonorCentral® enables donors to identify and specify areas of grantmaking interest within the prospective portfolio. Each time donors log into DonorCentral®, they will see a customized page with relevant content and a pre-filtered list of proposals and/or charities that match their areas of interest. This allows donors to efficiently elect to support - in part or fully - one or more of these proposals via a donor-suggested grant from their Donor Advised Fund. The filtering process eliminates the tedious review of numerous grantmaking proposals that are unrelated to a donor's unique social interests. Proposals are earmarked by the foundation within FIMS or FoundationPower for publication to the DonorCentral® Web portal.

Donors clearly want online services, and foundations need cost-effective, faster mechanisms to get grant opportunities in front of their donors. The Community Foundation of Broward has embraced the enhanced functionality in DonorCentral®, making a strategic investment in MicroEdge products which helped to shape and facilitate some of these new enhancements. Foundations will also benefit from enhanced communication features that make it easier to deliver targeted content, e-mails and online e-alerts directly to their donors based upon their specified interests - enabling foundations to proactively communicate information such as proposals, news, events, projects and grantee profiles.

These latest tools are part of an expanded feature set and are provided at no additional cost to users who are current on an annual maintenance plan as part of the DonorCentral® platform.
