'Cure Autism Now' Foundation Chooses MicroEdge Technology for Online Grants Management

New York - September 23, 2005 - MicroEdge, a wholly owned subsidiary of Advent Software (NASDAQ: ADVS) and leading provider of solutions for the grantmaking community worldwide announced today that the Cure Autism Now Foundation has chosen an integrated grants administration and review system from MicroEdge to provide online support to grant seekers, staff and reviewers as well as improve communication through all stakeholders. Candidates seeking funding under the Foundation's "Young Investigator," "Pilot Research" and "Treatment-Related" awards can create an account, learn about pre-requests, take an online eligibility quiz, submit an application, and from the same account, submit supporting materials and proposals at another time.

"Our goal is to support outstanding research projects that involve innovative approaches, and match that with the application of cutting-edge technologies," explains Jeff Jerome, IT manager at the Cure Autism Now Foundation. "MicroEdge provided an excellent solution in keeping with our commitment to innovation and collaboration."

The integrated grants administration and review system was launched on June 1, 2005. Upon completion and submission, each application for funds requires a review from up to seven different independent reviewers. Through the online processes, receiving grants, retaining vital information and keeping track of the review progress of each grant received is now accessible to staff at Cure Autism Now. The Foundation chose GIFTS®, IGAM and ReviewerConnect® to build an integrated workflow based on the GIFTS grants management platform.

GIFTS is the leading grants management software for the giving industry worldwide. GIFTS' powerful relational database allows grantmakers of all kinds to raise, invest, manage and distribute charitable dollars.

IGAM is the Internet grant application module that works directly with the GIFTS database, providing seamless integration with Windows and web-based grants management activities. IGAM provides customizable, full-featured online grants management forms that allow grantees and grant makers to communicate instantly with the use of a browser. IGAM is a secure, hosted web application.

ReviewerConnect is the online reviewer tool providing a more efficient and manageable grant review process. A set of collaboration and decision-making tools that more effectively include all reviewers and consultants in the grant approval process, ReviewerConnect streamlines the entire review process.

'Cure Autism Now' Foundation plans to continue improving support for their grant seekers, reviewers and staff through innovative technology. For more information about the foundation and their online grant submission and review process, please visit http://www.cureautismnow.org.
