Susan Harman
President
Susan joined MicroEdge in 2009. She is a seasoned executive with over thirty years of experience in software, online technology and information systems. Susan has worked with many industry leaders, such as Mentor Graphics, Lotus Development and Cypress Semiconductor, during their emerging growth phase of development. In 2000, Susan co-founded Bigchalk, Inc., a provider of online educational resources, where she served as founding Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President. She also ran an online educational software company and managed a core information system for Black & Decker. Susan has an MBA from Stanford.
Benny Melumad
Chief Technology Officer
Benny joined MicroEdge in 2004, bringing with him 15 years of experience in technology and information systems, with a focus in the areas of development, database administration and management.
During his time at MicroEdge, Benny has served in various technical roles, such as manager of Research & Development and Custom Programming Services prior to becoming Chief Technology Officer in 2007. In his current role as CTO, Benny is responsible for the technology direction of MicroEdge, managing the development of existing and future products and providing technological solutions and services to MicroEdge’s clients.
Benny started his career as a database administrator and system programmer at the primary Information Technology group in the Israeli Defense Forces. He went on to play diverse technical roles at financial institutions such as Gvanim Derivatives, Bank Hapoalim (Israel’s largest bank) and Actrade Capital.
Prior to joining MicroEdge, Benny headed a highly visible project at BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company), a Fortune 500 global medical technology company, that involved the monitoring and management of crisis situations related to epidemics and bioterrorism. Benny holds a BA in Economics from the Tel-Aviv University and an MBA in Finance from the City University of New York.
Peter Byer
Vice President of Sales
Peter joined MicroEdge in 2003, bringing with him over twenty years of management marketing and sales experience in the technology industry. Most recently, Peter leveraged his leadership skills to help the MicroEdge sales team achieve the most profitable sales year in the company's 20 year history, including the most successful revenue quarter in Q4 2006.
Prior to joining MicroEdge, Peter was General Manager of the Communication Software Division of Artisoft, Inc., where he led a division responsible for software development, marketing, sales and business and financial strategies. From 1990 to 1997, Peter served as the VP of Marketing and Sales for Triton Technologies, Inc., a communication software company. Peter was part of the Triton team that initiated, negotiated and closed the acquisition agreement for Triton Technologies with Artisoft in 1997. From 1982 to 1990, Byer was the VP of Marketing and Sales for DMA, Inc., where he introduced and created the market for pcANYWHERE, one of the most popular software products in the world before its acquisition by Symantec, Inc. in 1990.
